John is the Managing Director of The Results Consultancy which helps clients win high-value work.
Specialist areas
John works extensively in international law, accounting, consulting, and financial services and helps partners and teams win major new ‘big ticket’ assignments from existing and new clients. He does this through ‘hands-on’ coaching on live opportunities, as well as leading engaging and practical business development, client management, pitching and sales training programmes.
Career and professional highlights
Before launching The Results Consultancy, John was Business Development Director for PwC in the UK for several years. Before that he was Managing Director of a Marketing and Public Relations Consultancy specialising in working with international professional services clients.
Thought leadership
John is the author or co-author of several books and papers on business development-related topics, including networking, pitching, consultative selling and the ‘Rainmaker’ mindset. All of John’s books have international distribution. He also writes and produces a large number of our Winning Business Digest series.
In addition to his books, John delivers a monthly 45-minute webinar for subscribers to The Results Consultancy’s Online Business Development Academy . He also co-leads research projects with colleagues and collaborators aimed at identifying current ‘best practice’ actions that are working for professionals, and which can be adopted or adapted by others.
What John enjoys most about his work
